At my work we usually do Java/JSP stuff but a few weeks I did a small PHP Job here and today I made the statistic in mysql. Actually nothing special but a welcome change if you imagine stupid JSP Struts tasks day in and day out and boring style-stasi requests from project managers and so on. But I am hip to the spirit and love computer work – or at least the creative-innovative part of it – the rest I try to reject and forget. Actually it is always the same – some project manager come up with a kick ass idea and then during the production it gets reduced to something really boring and forgettable unimportant whatsoever.

Nevertheless I am a very kind IT guy and explained the issue to him – So I wrote him that a link to an external resource always consist out of: 1) a protocol name, 2) an instruction for the browser that it is an external resource :// and finally 3) the domain name and last but not least the TLD and optional paths or parameters.

You may call me a fault finder but that’s something that happened not the first time. I guess this is a classic example of: stupid new media. People who are working in the new media should knew what a friggin link is – especially when they are Project Manager of a website!

Also I’ve canceled the 16mbit / VOIP Alice Contract and ordered a VDSL 25 MBIT/ISDN line from t-kom and hope we’ll get it until next month.

Also I’ve installed chrome, googles new browser but more importantly it seems to me that googles war against MS reaches another level. I wonder what MS will be in two years. MS loses constant market share in the browser business and I’ll be surprised about the Moz Foundation and google corporation in the future. Firefox has meanwhile a good share with ~20% and as someone mentioned some weeks ago, every laptop above 1000 USD is a Mac. Yarr, and there is no IE since 5.5 for the Mac and every development ist discontinued. Thus I assume that the IE will no more be the browser to develop for (primary) in future, because it will be just one amongst of many. And! If the antitrust law finaly forbid the bundling of Browser/OS – then a long fought war is eventually won!

However!

Updates may also appear in the real world and yesterday I’ve (managed to) updated my competent revenue authorities with the “est”, “gse” and “n” Papers, without any assistance … *sigh* :p

Marcel finally have his first release on iconise with a remix of Tala’s »Mandragora« and if everything works out fine, he’ll release his second tune on iconise aswell and if I can manage my spare time better, I’ll do a remix. However, I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it. I’ve already started »something«, but it sounds to overloaded and ordinary.

But it is Friday and some people might suggest to do party, get wasted and at least stay not at home but I really enjoy the peace of being alone today. There’s no need for me today to go excited. I am at peace with my own state of mind and looking forward to see my girl tomorrow, meet her sister for the first time and Nina again (she is a very kind person and before she goes back to São Paulo), wake up not to late and maybe find some interesting ad for a new flat for Steffi and me.

I should go to sleep soon – but I guess I’ll have one more beer and then…..

The first Computer we had was an IBM in 86 or 87. The second was a 486 with modem and belonged to my Mothers boyfriend. That must have been around the late 80’s or early 90’s. That was also the first time, when I used a computer as a design tool. A Friend of mine had a funny program with that you were able to make simple animations. I spend tons of hours by pushing one and another pixel back and forth on x and y and that was so awesome! 

For somehow I’ve stopped the computer thing for a while and I nearly failed the computer coding class but in 95 a friend of mine introduced me to a guy who was a real geek and so Iâ�?��?ve started hanging out at his place and did music with Cubase and Emagic logic. I don’t want to repeat myself, but that was awesome again and so I bought my first own machine.
I made my first email account and met Julian in a AOL BBS like thing (I am addicted to names like Julia(n|ne)) and that was my first friend I’ve met over the net. Hehe, and it was really complicated to explain my Mom what the internet is and why do I need it so much and why it costs so much;) Then coding HTML in notepad, experimenting with JavaScript to crash browser, reading lots of interesting stuff in newsgroups and of course conspiracy theories, faking ISP accounts and became an IRC victim

All these are nice and funny stories from �back in the days� but if I’m think about what my teacher has asked us â�?��?? the internet has truly affected our life in an unpredictable way.

You do not call your friends via landlines or meet them like back then, you SMS, ping them via IM and or send virtual greeting cards. You buy and sell items via ebay/amazon/etc and instead of discussing your feelings and interests with real persons, you write in communities and chat rooms. You do not even talk for real with your pals at work, you chat.

Every invention has its positive and negative effects and one big negative effect is that we separate us from real human or natural behaviours. When we LOL, we do not roll on the floor and laugh, it’s just a smile. We loose control or better said we forget to show real facial expressions, because there is no need to. But that’s not all. We’re just sitting in front of a screen and just use some fingers. Due to that lots of people get fat, besides all the unhealthy fast food. We’re seeking for more extremes and I honestly do not think that sex with animals would have been so famous without the net. In real life we do not loose inhibitions; we do not even smile when we walk through crowded places but when we use the computer, we start to unfold our deepest feelings and depths.

Nevertheless: I like the internet and the internet itself is not bad but I believe we should use it more responsible. I am strictly against any censorship or regimentation but for a responsible use. You do not let your child drive your Porsche; you may buy a bobby car or three wheeler. If you allow your children to access with administrator rights to access the internet, you are responsible for it. It is not the internet s or nations fault that your kid has found sites it shouldn’t. You are. If someone breaks into your Computer, it is not the fault of the internet; it is your own fault, that you had no knowledge of computers.

In Germany we have an idiom like expression: �Unwissenheit sch�tzt vor Strafe nicht�, which is similarly to the English: â�?�ž Ignorance is no excuseâ�?��?. You can not plead ignorance to get away from consequences.

First of all: THINK STRUCTURED – because a website is a structured thing!

Which means, you should use structured formatting or at least a logical scheme. Think �webbish� and try to visualize it. If you don’t like to format in Word and or OO and of course in case of WYSIWYG editors in some CMS, formatting is sometimes not so good – then think of something else.

Well ok, that would be ok, when we assume the site is in only one language but oops – the site is in german, frensh, english and spanish and you know only 2 of them and they translate also the structure. Dude and there are not only 9 pages but at least 50 with a much deeper depth of sub pages! And guess what? That sucks!

I believe in you all and know you will do better next time and that’s why I have another suggestion for your next word file. Lets assume a page consists out of a headline, a teaser, a main text, some links and a few pictures. Then I’d love to see your article like this:

Header Image: fruits_001.jpg
Teaser: We are very pleased to say that our products are only organic and seasonal fruits. It is our enviromentall resposibility and debt and of course your grant for high quality food supply.
Main text:Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat. Do you know why it makes sense to do it like in the example above? No? Ok, then let me give you some reasons:

• simple copy and paste
• no need to extract something out of the word file (ie. Images)
• better access to media files (and if I say �never embed something in a wordfile� – then I mean it)
• no need to use the contextual menus to copy a link
• if you use the markup of the brackets to show what should be �linked�, then you don’t need to link it in real
• if something is missing, you and I can see it right away and or add a note /nT, which means �no text�

To make it more easier:

• provide complete and valid links, always using http:// and test them all
• Make use of a understandable and efficient naming convention for files
  • no special characters (for images, downloads, etc)
  • no white spaces (for images, downloads, etc)
  • no bullshit like: �copy of website text english.doc�
    Name it �english.doc�, because it is obvious that the text you send me is for the website and that it contains text, because it is a text document. If you have more files like ��terms of use�, privacy statements�, then name it but pleeeeeeeease without any irrelevant words like text or website – because I assume you have sent me an email with the subject: �english text for website xyz�
  • you may use revision numbers (1.1, 1.2)

I like to thank all people who helped me to get there and supported me with devices and of course Olli who invited me to go there. My original plan has broke, because I haven’t imagined the huge problems to get from one to another spot (police barriers/blockades, local traffic, the need for a car) but therefore I was able to accompany the teams and had a great time.

During the 2-3 next weeks I’ll post photos and footages and maybe some rumours but for now I need to sit back and relax and recapitulate for myself.

Wir betätigen uns der Methodik totalitärer Systeme um unsere vermeintliche Demokratie aufrecht zu erhalten, was diese aber zu einer Tragikomödie verkommen lässt. Es ist nicht verwerflich wenn sexuelle Perversionen, gewaltverherrlichende Medienbeiträge, oder aus habgierigen geopolitischen Beweggründen Millionen von Menschen geopfert werden, aber wage es Einer seine Oppositionsfreiheit in Anspruch zu nehmen, so bedarf es dem propagandistischen Irrtums und des Widerspruchs, im Namen der Demokratie, ihm den Mund unter Freiheitsstrafe oder Diffamierung (gezielte Verleumdung) zu verbieten.

Wir haben es gelernt, gewisse Dinge einfach nicht zu lernen. Was Huxley als Konditionierungs-Programm in den Schlafsälen umschreibt, nennt man heute NLP(t). Diese »Wissenschaft« gilt in geisteswissenschaftlichen Fachkreisen zwar als umstritten, wird aber von den Medien(bzw. Programmchefs/Lobbyisten/Konzernen/Staatsgewalten) weltweit praktiziert. NLP ist eine zielgerichteter Ablauft von Informationsprozessen, wie sie in Pro und Kontra Aufsätzen z.B. verwendet wird. Gemäß der Reihenfolge in der die Informationen verarbeitet werden, kann das eine oder andere manipulative Ergebnis herbeigeführt werden. Zu den Zeiten Hitlers erfand man hierfür den Begriff »Weltanschauungskrieg« und taufte diesen nach dem 2. WK dann in »psychologische Kriegsführung« um. Wie solcherart Kriegsführung sich gestaltet, lässt sich anhand folgernder Passagen leicht erkennen:

»In pursuing its foreign intelligence missions the Central Intelligence Agency has used the U.S. media for both the collection of intelligence and for cover. [...] and at times attempt to influence foreign opinion through the use of covert propaganda. These individuals provide the CIA with direct access to a large number of foreign newspapers and periodicals, scores of press services and news agencies, radio and television stations, commercial book publishers, and other foreign media outlets. [...] but it is significantly often enough to make books the most important weapon of strategic(long-range) propaganda.«

Leider fand ich keinen deutschen Text, der so unverhohlen von dieser Methodik spricht. Was jedoch völlig unerheblich ist, da Amerika als die stärkste politische, sowie militärische Nation gilt und es letzten Endes um den Fakt geht, dass genau dies praktiziert wird. Es nützt wenig zu erwähnen, das dies auch schon vor Jahrtausenden getan wurde, da wir ja heutzutage in einer aufgeklärten Gesellschaft leben. (Sarkasmus!)

So ist es uns heutzutage unvorstellbar, das man aus politischen Zielen seine eigenen Leute opfert, um einen politischen Zustand hervorzurufen – wobei es ein geschichtliches Faktum ist, dass aus religiösen Gründen Menschen geopfert wurden. Wobei anzumerken sei, das Politik und Religion in vergangenen Zeiten oftmals dasselbe war. So versagt auch hier unser »aufgeklärter Geist« sich dies auch nur versuchsweise vorzustellen. Genauso abwegig erscheint es, das der Holocaust eine ganz andere Konnotation haben könnte, als dies »propagandiert« wird. Nur weil es nicht in unser moralisch konditioniertes Vorstellungsvermögen passt, heißt dies noch lange nicht, dass alles Abwegige keine Existenzberechtigung hat. Im Namen der freien Meinungsäußerung und der Oppositionsfreiheit sollte dies doch eigentlich in Ordnung sein – ohne diffamiert und ohne in Gesetzeskonflikt zu geraten. Das dem aber nicht so ist, ist mit logischer Argumentation nicht zu beweisen. Es wird auf das »Unvorstellbare« verwiesen, auf ein unantastbares psychologisch eingehämmertes Konstrukt.

»Auschwitz*) **) ist ein Niemandsland des Verstehens, ein schwarzer Kasten des Erklärens, ein historiographische Deutungsversuche aufsaugendes, ja außerhistorische Bedeutung annehmendes Vakuum. Nur ex negativo, nur durch den ständigen Versuch, die Vergeblichkeit des Verstehens zu verstehen, kann ermessen werden, um welches Ereignis es sich bei diesem Zivilisationsbruch gehandelt haben könnte. Als äußerster Extremfall und damit als absolutes Maß von Geschichte ist dieses Ereignis wohl kaum historisierbar.«

Die Shoa und das Problem der Unsagbarkeit, shoa.de

Wir haben die Freiheit Alles in Frage zu stellen, wozu wir Erlaubt sind in Frage zu stellen. Die logische Folgerung ist, dass die im Grundgesetz veräußerte Meinungsfreiheit z.B. durch §130 StGB, in dem es ausreicht den öffentlichen Frieden zu stören (billigt, leugnet oder verharmlost), beschnitten wird. Dies hat ein zur Folge, dass zumindest in Deutschland kein Historiker ernsthafte Forschung betreiben darf. Seine Freiheit ist es die bestehende Ansicht zu bestätigen, oder grausamer darzustellen. Die wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen oder unwissenschaftlichen Meinungen zu allen anderen Kriegen und Genoziden ist natürlich erlaubt und selbstverständlich. Dies kann nur damit im Zusammengang stehen, das dies Thema unter Anderem eine höchst brisante und politische Natur hat – das der 2. WK *) geopolitische Veränderungen hervorgerufen hat, die zur Neuaufteilung von Staaten, bzw. Gründung und massig lukrativer Kriege geführt hat und führen wird. Nicht umsonst werden noch massig historische Dokumente von Russland, England und anderen Beteiligten bis auf längere Sicht unter Verschluss gehalten. Dies hat zur Folge, dass es zurzeit einfach gar nicht möglich ist eine umfassende geschichtliche Untersuchung zu führen, da viele wichtige Teile zu einer halbwegs sachlichen Beurteilung fehlen. Folglich darf die vorherrschende Meinung nicht als die Endgültige betrachtet werden. Wer dies nicht einsieht, ist ein Dummkopf, Ignorant oder Beides.

Die Freiheit sollte unser größtes Gut sein und ist gleichauf mit der Würde eines jeden Menschen. Ich glaube fest an ein friedliches Miteinander ohne Kriege, Anfeindungen und eine humanitäre Gesellschaft in der Glauben und Wissenschaft in einer friedlichen Koexistenz miteinander leben können. Ich glaube dass es möglich ist – wenn wir nur im Kleinen einfach mal Aufstehen würden, um zu dem zu stehen, woran wir glauben – eine bessere Welt zu schaffen, die das Leben lebenswerter macht. Wir sind noch immer in einer Phase der Renaissance und es wird langsam Zeit aus dem Dämmerzustand des Mittelalters aufzuwachen. Um aus der Geschichte zu lernen, muss man sie untersuchen und verstehen.
