Music makes the world go round

March 12th, 2007 @biophonc

Yes and it’s unbelievable what kind of »unmusic« exists. Today a charity organisation around the corner gave records away and I took some of them. The one had only a funny cover(Bier her! trans.: gimme beer!) and the rest I thought could be nice to sample but I was wrong, only 2 tracks turned out to be nice to sample. Most of it is italio disco shit. *barf*

A guy from Scottland told me via msn a few days ago about loki and watched his »littlest hobo« video and I like it for somehow and checked out his label site.

I’ve found the whole album for download. YAY. Scottish Hiphop. It’s useless to mention that I have wgetted them all and really like the »Del Presents – Super Dynamite Soul« but I was seeking for Loki’s album and also like it – even though it’s sometimes hard to understand the scottish accent. Well last winter I have visited a friend in stirling and also moved to glasgow and when I went to the shakewell graffiti store I figured out how hard scottish accent can be and felt a little bit handycapped, because sometimes I couldn’t nearly understand a single word.

However – It is really time to finish the demo with puRe and I know it is my turn but lately I have a bad time management. It’s because of I spent to much time on weekends with parties. At least I enjoy the music and meet a lot of people who likes to freak out and yes, that’s the other side of the coin, waste a lot of quids/bucks/euros.

MK-ULTRA

I was still sample-digging when I found this awesome commentary. Awesome in some ways. The soundtrack is, like the editing, like the topic itself and also the whole thing: awesome. Did you know that psychological warfare is the american version of nothing else than Weltanschauungskrieg, invented by the Nazis? No shit; it really blew my mind. I wish there were more of such movies!

demo

June 21st, 2006 @biophonc

I’m currently working on my demo – right – besides the mangozine, hhb, rednoize, pure v2, my own and another graffiti site. My big plan ist to finish it in Juli – but right now I have only two tunes I’d say: “yay – that’s awesome!” I hope a 5 track demo will be enough. In case you don’t know my style – I’d call it unique and there is no existing genre that would fit. So: It’s biophoncly blue. I guess I’ll release the preview withing the first 2 weeks of July and hope my vitamin B is enough to get the right attention. Meanwhile I’ll see if I get that job or have to keep ghettoslickering.

However: the demo will come pretty soon ;)

We(pure, anna plus me) went at the weekend to the kotj party at Bremen and it was actually very cool. Personally I got there to see John B, coz I like his style, … well Roni Size and Aphrodite were also cool … but frankly, some dnb ravers are just some stupid meth heads:p

However! John B’s show was awsome;)

early «can» recordings

February 13th, 2006 @biophonc

All you youngsters will probably don’t know it when you’re not into Krautrock, or not a sound-digger. I’m a digger and love the early «can» recordings with Damo Suzuki. Such free, potential and energetic music is so rare and I have to thank my friend Ozzi to give me this wonderful piece of wax.

Some days ago I worked on a new tune and showed it to some friends for review and they all asked me, if it’s me who is singing but I was just sampling only some part of the «yoo doo right» can masterpiece. Today I’ve find out the singer is also Japanese and maybe that’s the reason for it. I don’t know.

I know it’s bullshit to talk about music, when you can’t listen to it, so here are some snippets to check it out:
